As a cooperative member, you have the power to help keep electric costs down in your community. The price of electricity can fluctuate. Peak periods occur when electricity is in highest demand, and therefore, at its most expensive. The program allows us to send a signal to your A/C unit during peak load periods that will cycle it on and off for a few minutes every hour. You don't have to do a thing. The fan will continue to run, keeping your home comfortable. Most participants never notice a difference in the cooling of their home. Participation is easy, voluntary and 100% free.
